కేంద్ర విద్యాశాఖ Ministry of Education దేశవ్యాప్తంగా ఉన్న పాఠశాలల్లో “భారతీయ భాషా సమ్మర్ క్యాంప్ 2026” నిర్వహించనున్నట్లు ప్రకటించింది. గత ఏడాది నిర్వహించిన సమ్మర్ క్యాంప్లకు దేశవ్యాప్తంగా 5.13 కోట్లకు పైగా విద్యార్థులు పాల్గొనడంతో ఈ ఏడాది కార్యక్రమాన్ని మరింత విస్తృతంగా చేపట్టాలని నిర్ణయించింది.
వేసవి సెలవుల సమయంలో వారం రోజుల పాటు జరిగే ఈ క్యాంప్లో విద్యార్థులకు భారతీయ భాషలలో ప్రాథమిక సంభాషణ నైపుణ్యాలను నేర్పించనున్నారు. స్వీయ పరిచయం, పదజాల అభివృద్ధి, రోజువారీ సంభాషణలు, సాంస్కృతిక అవగాహన వంటి అంశాలపై ఇంటరాక్టివ్ కార్యక్రమాలు నిర్వహించబడతాయి.
ఈ ఏడాది ప్రత్యేక ఆకర్షణగా ఇండియన్ సైన్ లాంగ్వేజ్ (ISL) ను కూడా పరిచయం చేయనున్నట్లు కేంద్ర విద్యాశాఖ వెల్లడించింది. ఇది జాతీయ విద్యా విధానం 2020లో పేర్కొన్న సమగ్ర మరియు సమాన విద్య లక్ష్యాలకు అనుగుణంగా తీసుకున్న చర్యగా అధికారులు పేర్కొన్నారు.
భారతీయ భాషల పట్ల విద్యార్థుల్లో ఆసక్తి పెంపొందించడం, భిన్న భాషల మధ్య పరస్పర అవగాహన పెంచడం, దేశ సాంస్కృతిక వైవిధ్యాన్ని పరిచయం చేయడం ఈ కార్యక్రమం ప్రధాన ఉద్దేశ్యమని విద్యాశాఖ తెలిపింది.

The Ministry of Education has announced that Bharatiya Bhasha Summer Camp 2026 will be conducted in schools across the country during the summer vacation period. The initiative follows the major success of last year’s camps, which reportedly witnessed participation from more than 5.13 crore students nationwide.
The week-long camp aims to help students learn basic communication skills in different Indian languages through interactive and activity-based learning methods. Sessions will focus on self-introduction, vocabulary building, real-life conversations, and cultural appreciation to encourage multilingual understanding among students.
A major highlight of this year’s programme is the inclusion of Indian Sign Language (ISL), which the Ministry described as a step toward strengthening inclusive and equitable education under the framework of the National Education Policy 2020.
Officials stated that the initiative is intended to promote awareness of India’s linguistic diversity while encouraging students to appreciate different cultures and communication styles. The programme is expected to be implemented across government and private schools during the summer break.
