తెలంగాణ ముఖ్యమంత్రి A. Revanth Reddy హజ్ యాత్రికులకు కీలక ఊరటనిచ్చే ప్రకటన చేశారు. పశ్చిమ ఆసియా ప్రాంతంలో కొనసాగుతున్న ఉద్రిక్త పరిస్థితుల కారణంగా పెరిగిన విమాన చార్జీల వల్ల హజ్ యాత్రికులపై పడుతున్న అదనపు ప్రయాణ వ్యయాన్ని తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం భరిస్తుందని వెల్లడించారు.

ఈ ప్రకటనను హైదరాబాద్‌లోని Haj House లో నిర్వహించిన హజ్ యాత్రికుల వీడ్కోలు కార్యక్రమంలో చేశారు.

ఈ సందర్భంగా మాట్లాడిన ముఖ్యమంత్రి, మైనారిటీ సంక్షేమానికి ప్రభుత్వం కట్టుబడి ఉందని తెలిపారు. అన్ని వర్గాల ప్రజలకు సమాన సహకారం అందించడం ప్రభుత్వ బాధ్యత అని పేర్కొన్నారు. హజ్ యాత్ర ఖర్చులు పెరగడంతో ఆందోళనలో ఉన్న యాత్రికులకు ప్రభుత్వం అండగా ఉంటుందని హామీ ఇచ్చారు.

అదేవిధంగా విదేశాల్లో ప్రమాదాలకు గురైన కుటుంబాలకు ఆర్థిక సాయం అందించడం, ఉమ్మడి జిల్లా కేంద్రాల్లో మైనారిటీ విద్యాసంస్థల ఏర్పాటు వంటి పలు సంక్షేమ కార్యక్రమాలను కూడా సీఎం ప్రస్తావించారు.

హజ్ యాత్ర ఖర్చులు భారీగా పెరిగిన నేపథ్యంలో ప్రభుత్వం తీసుకున్న ఈ నిర్ణయం తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రంలోని అనేక కుటుంబాలకు ఉపశమనంగా మారనుంది.

ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో మంత్రులు, మైనారిటీ సంక్షేమ శాఖ అధికారులు, అలాగే All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen ప్రతినిధులు పాల్గొన్నారు.

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced that the state government will bear the additional travel expenses faced by Haj pilgrims due to increased airfare linked to the ongoing West Asia conflict.

The announcement was made during a Haj pilgrims’ send-off programme held at Haj House in Nampally, Hyderabad, on May 9, 2026.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said the Telangana government remains committed to protecting minority welfare interests and ensuring equal support for all communities. He assured pilgrims that the state would extend all necessary assistance to reduce the financial burden caused by rising travel expenses during this year’s Haj pilgrimage.

The Chief Minister also highlighted several welfare initiatives introduced by the government, including financial support to families affected in overseas accidents and plans to establish minority educational institutions in combined district headquarters across Telangana.

The decision comes amid concerns over the sharp increase in Haj travel costs this year. The government’s announcement is expected to provide major relief to many families preparing for the pilgrimage.

Several ministers, Minority Welfare officials, and representatives from All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen attended the programme.
