The Telangana High Court has disposed of a petition challenging the appointment of M. Kodandaram and Mohammad Azharuddin as Members of the Legislative Council (MLCs) under the Governor’s quota.

The petitioner had questioned the legality of the government orders related to the appointments and sought judicial intervention. During the hearing, the High Court observed that the matter is already pending before the Supreme Court.

The court reportedly questioned the need for filing a fresh petition when the same issue is under consideration by the apex court. Taking note of the ongoing proceedings before the Supreme Court, the High Court disposed of the plea.
