During the Assembly debate, the opposition alleged that crushers operated by Raghava Constructions were functioning illegally, causing pollution in the Musi river and Gandipet areas. They claimed that mining officials had already submitted findings regarding the issue.
Opposition leaders questioned whether the government was applying different standards for poor residents and large companies. They accused the administration of failing to act firmly against the company despite serious concerns.
Raising the issue strongly, former minister and MLA Harish Rao demanded the immediate resignation of Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy. He also called for either a probe by a sitting judge or the formation of a House committee to investigate the allegations transparently.
As the Assembly session continues, the issue has gained political traction, bringing environmental concerns and regulatory enforcement into sharp focus in Telangana politics.
