ప్రైవేటు ట్యాంకర్ యజమానులు జలమండలి లోగోను అనధికారికంగా ఉపయోగిస్తున్నట్లు అధికారులు గుర్తించారు. దీనివల్ల ప్రజలు వాటిని ప్రభుత్వ ట్యాంకర్లుగా భావించి నీటిని వినియోగిస్తున్నారు. అయితే ఈ ట్యాంకర్లలో సరఫరా చేసే నీరు శుద్ధి చేయబడకపోవడంతో ఆరోగ్య సమస్యలు తలెత్తే ప్రమాదం ఉందని అధికారులు తెలిపారు.
ఈ అంశాన్ని తీవ్రంగా పరిగణించిన జలమండలి, లోగో దుర్వినియోగం చేసే వారిపై క్రిమినల్ కేసులు నమోదు చేస్తామని స్పష్టం చేసింది. ఇప్పటికే ఒక ప్రైవేట్ ట్యాంకర్ను స్వాధీనం చేసుకుని, బాధ్యుడిపై కేసు నమోదు చేసినట్లు వెల్లడించింది.
ప్రజలు తాగునీటి కోసం తప్పనిసరిగా అధికారిక మార్గాలనే ఉపయోగించాలని సూచించింది. ట్యాంకర్ బుకింగ్ కోసం జలమండలి కస్టమర్ కేర్ 155313 నంబర్ను సంప్రదించాలని తెలిపింది. శుద్ధి చేసిన సురక్షిత నీటిని మాత్రమే వినియోగించాలని హెచ్చరించింది.

Water scarcity has begun to surface in Hyderabad even before peak summer, forcing residents in several areas to depend on private water tankers. In this context, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has issued a strong public alert.
Officials have identified that some private tanker operators are illegally using the HMWSSB logo, misleading people into believing they are government-authorized tankers. Authorities warned that such tankers often supply untreated borewell water without proper quality checks, posing serious health risks.
Taking the issue seriously, HMWSSB stated that strict legal action, including criminal cases, will be taken against those misusing the official logo. In a recent inspection, one such private tanker was seized and a case was registered against the operator.
The board has advised citizens not to rely on unauthorized private tankers for drinking water. Instead, residents are urged to book water tankers only through official HMWSSB customer care by calling 155313 to ensure safe and purified water supply.
