Hyderabad: The Central Government has approved procurement of over 1.25 lakh metric tonnes of crops from Telangana under the Minimum Support Price (MSP) mechanism.

ఈ కొనుగోళ్ల మొత్తం అంచనా విలువ సుమారు ₹894 కోట్లుగా ఉండే అవకాశం ఉందని సమాచారం. దీనివల్ల రైతులకు కనీస ధర భరోసా లభించి వారి ఆదాయం స్థిరపడే అవకాశం ఉందని అధికారులు భావిస్తున్నారు.
మార్కెట్ ధరలు తగ్గిన సందర్భాల్లో రైతులకు రక్షణ కల్పించడం ఈ చర్య ప్రధాన ఉద్దేశంగా ప్రభుత్వం పేర్కొంది. MSP ద్వారా కొనుగోళ్లు జరగడం వల్ల రైతులకు నష్టాలు తగ్గే అవకాశం ఉంది.
ఈ నిర్ణయం వల్ల గ్రామీణ ఆర్థిక వ్యవస్థకు కూడా ఊతం లభించే అవకాశం ఉందని వ్యవసాయ వర్గాలు పేర్కొంటున్నాయి. రైతుల ఆదాయం పెరగడం ద్వారా గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాల్లో వినియోగం పెరిగే అవకాశం ఉందని అంచనా వేస్తున్నారు.
The procurement will include pulses, groundnut and sunflower crops as part of MSP support to ensure farmers receive fair prices despite market volatility.
The total estimated value of the procurement is around ₹894 crore, which is expected to provide price assurance to farmers and help stabilize their income.
The move is aimed at protecting farmers from price fluctuations and ensuring minimum returns through government-backed procurement.
Agriculture experts say such procurement support can also strengthen the rural economy by improving farmer purchasing power and boosting local economic activity.
