Khammam నగరానికి చెందిన చాగంటి రవి (52) ఆటో డ్రైవర్‌గా పనిచేస్తూ కుటుంబాన్ని పోషించేవాడు. మద్యం అలవాటు కారణంగా ఇంట్లో తరచూ గొడవలు జరుగుతుండేవని పోలీసులు తెలిపారు. కొంతకాలం క్రితం రవి అనారోగ్యానికి గురయ్యాడు. దీంతో అతడు త్వరలోనే చనిపోతాడని భావించిన భార్య ప్రశాంతి అతడి పేరుతో భారీ బీమా చేయించాలనే నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంది.

According to police, Chaganti Ravi (52), an auto driver from Khammam, used to support his family through daily earnings. Officials said he had a habit of consuming alcohol and frequently argued with his wife Prashanthi. When Ravi fell ill some months ago, she allegedly assumed he might die soon and decided to take a large insurance policy in his name.

గత సంవత్సరం రవి బంధువు దేశబోయిన శ్రీనివాస్‌తో కలిసి ఓ ఇన్సూరెన్స్ ఏజెంట్ ద్వారా రవి పేరుతో రూ.66 లక్షల బీమా పాలసీ తీసుకున్నట్లు దర్యాప్తులో బయటపడింది. అయితే నెలలు గడిచినా రవి మరణించకపోవడంతో బీమా డబ్బులు పొందేందుకు ప్రశాంతి హత్యకు కుట్ర పన్నినట్లు పోలీసులు తెలిపారు.

Police investigation revealed that last year Prashanthi, along with Ravi’s relative Desaboyina Srinivas, arranged an insurance policy worth ₹66 lakh in Ravi’s name through an agent. However, when months passed and Ravi did not die, she allegedly decided to eliminate him to claim the insurance money.

పథకం ప్రకారం శ్రీనివాస్ రవిని ఆటోలో తీసుకెళ్లి మద్యం తాగించాడు. మత్తులో ఉన్న రవిని VV Palem శివారులో వదిలేశారు. అనంతరం మరో నిందితుడు కారుతో వేగంగా వచ్చి వెనుక నుంచి ఢీకొట్టి హత్య చేసినట్లు పోలీసులు వెల్లడించారు. సంఘటన సమయంలో ఎవరైనా వస్తున్నారేమో గమనించేందుకు మరో వ్యక్తిని కాపలా పెట్టినట్లు కూడా తెలిపారు.

According to police, the accused first made Ravi heavily intoxicated and left him on the outskirts of VV Palem in Khammam Rural. Later, another accused allegedly rammed a car into him from behind, killing him. One more person was reportedly stationed nearby to watch the road and alert others if anyone approached.

అనుమానాస్పద పరిస్థితుల్లో వ్యక్తి మృతి చెందినట్లు సమాచారం అందడంతో పోలీసులు కేసు నమోదు చేసి దర్యాప్తు ప్రారంభించారు. సాంకేతిక ఆధారాలు, విచారణలో లభించిన వివరాల ఆధారంగా కేసును ఛేదించారు. ఈ కేసులో రవి భార్య ప్రశాంతితో పాటు మరో నలుగురు నిందితులను పోలీసులు అదుపులోకి తీసుకున్నారు.

After receiving information about a suspicious death, police launched an investigation. Based on technical evidence and interrogation, they uncovered the conspiracy. Ravi’s wife Prashanthi along with four other accused have been taken into custody in connection with the murder.
