శనివారపు పేట కాజ్వే పై వరద నీరు పెరగడంతో రాకపోకలు తాత్కాలికంగా నిలిపివేయబడ్డాయి.

ఏలూరులో తమ్మిలేరు లో వరద నీరు సోమవారం అర్ధరాత్రి పెరుగుతుండడంతో శనివారపు పేట కాజ్వే పై ప్రమాదం తలెత్తే అవకాశం ఉందని పోలీసులు చర్యలు తీసుకున్నారు. త్రీ టౌన్ ఎస్ఐ రాంబాబు సిబ్బందితో కలిసి బారికేడ్లు ఏర్పాటు చేసి కాజ్వేను మూసివేశారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా ఎస్ఐ రాంబాబు మాట్లాడుతూ, శనివారపు పేట నుండి వచ్చే వాహనాలు, అమీనాపేట వైపు వెళ్తున్న వాహనాల రాకపోకలు నిలిపివేశామని తెలిపారు. వరద నీరు తగ్గిన వెంటనే రాకపోకలు పునరుద్ధరిస్తామని ఆయన స్పష్టం చేశారు.
Vehicular traffic on Shanivarapupeta causeway in Eluru has been suspended after flood levels in the Thammileru stream rose past midnight on Monday. Police moved swiftly to prevent danger at the spot. Three Town SI Rambabu, along with his staff, placed barricades and closed the causeway.

Speaking on the occasion, SI Rambabu said that traffic from Shanivarapupeta and towards Ameenapeta has been completely stopped. He assured that once the floodwater recedes, the movement of vehicles will be restored.
