Since that land belongs to India, Modi indirectly questioned China, saying that projects in disputed regions are a violation of national sovereignty.

At the same forum, Modi also made remarks about Pakistan. He said some countries are promoting terrorism, which is not just a threat to national security but also to humanity as a whole. Citing the recent Pahalgam attack, he reminded that India has been suffering the consequences of terrorism for over four decades. “For 40 years, we have been facing terrorism. The recent Pahalgam attack is a grim example of this. We thank the countries that have stood by us in such difficult times,” Modi said.
