హైదరాబాద్ జూబ్లీహిల్స్లో జరిగిన చదరంగం పోటీల్లో తెలంగాణకు చెందిన చిన్నారి శ్రేయాన్ష్ మురళీకృష్ణ పటేల్ అద్భుత ప్రతిభ కనబరిచి ఒకేసారి రెండు ప్రపంచ రికార్డులు సృష్టించాడు. కేవలం 2 సంవత్సరాలు 11 నెలల వయసులోనే ఈ అరుదైన ఘనత సాధించడం విశేషంగా నిలిచింది.
తెలంగాణ దేవాదాయ శాఖ మంత్రి కొండా సురేఖ మనవడు అయిన శ్రేయాన్ష్, ఎమ్మెల్యే ఎంపీ కాలనీ కల్చరల్ సెంటర్లో జరిగిన పోటీల్లో పాల్గొన్నాడు. తక్కువ సమయంలోనే అత్యధిక చెక్మేట్స్ సాధించడం ద్వారా అందరి దృష్టిని ఆకర్షించాడు.
15 నిమిషాల 52 సెకన్లలో 93 బ్యాక్ ర్యాంక్ చెక్మేట్స్ పూర్తి చేసి ఒక రికార్డు నెలకొల్పాడు. మరో విభాగంలో గంట 9 నిమిషాల 9 సెకన్లలో 21 చెస్ బోర్డులను అమర్చి మరో రికార్డు సాధించాడు. ఈ రెండు రికార్డులు వరల్డ్ బుక్ ఆఫ్ రికార్డ్స్ లండన్లో నమోదయ్యాయి.
ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి డిప్యూటీ సీఎం భట్టి విక్రమార్క, మంత్రి వాకిటి శ్రీహరి హాజరై చిన్నారిని అభినందించారు. చిన్న వయసులోనే ఇలాంటి ప్రతిభ చూపించడం తెలంగాణకు గర్వకారణమని పేర్కొన్నారు.
ఇక శ్రేయాన్ష్ తల్లి సుస్మిత పటేల్, అమ్మమ్మ కొండా సురేఖ భావోద్వేగానికి లోనయ్యారు. మంత్రులు శ్రేయాన్ష్కు సర్టిఫికెట్లు, ట్రోఫీలు అందజేశారు.
గతంలో కూడా లింగాష్టకం పఠనం ద్వారా శ్రేయాన్ష్ ప్రత్యేక గుర్తింపు పొందిన విషయం తెలిసిందే. చిన్నారిలో ఉన్న ప్రతిభ ఇతర పిల్లలకు స్ఫూర్తిగా నిలుస్తుందని ప్రముఖులు అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు.

A toddler from Hyderabad, Shreyansh Muralikrishna Patel, has created history by achieving two world records in chess at an incredibly young age. The 2-year-11-month-old child showcased exceptional talent during a chess event held in Jubilee Hills.
Shreyansh, grandson of Telangana Endowments Minister Konda Surekha, participated in the competition held at the MLA MP Colony Cultural Centre. His performance stunned the audience with remarkable speed and accuracy.
He completed 93 back-rank checkmates in just 15 minutes and 52 seconds, setting one world record. In another category, he arranged 21 chess boards within 1 hour, 9 minutes, and 9 seconds, securing a second record. Both achievements were registered in the World Book of Records, London.
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and Minister Vakiti Srihari attended the event and congratulated the young achiever. They praised his extraordinary skills and called it a proud moment for Telangana.
Shreyansh’s mother Sushmita Patel and grandmother Konda Surekha expressed emotional pride over his achievement. Certificates and trophies were presented to him during the event.
Earlier, the child had gained attention for reciting Lingashtakam, earning appreciation from several prominent personalities. His achievements are now inspiring many young children across the state.
