ప్రధాన మంత్రి భారతీయ జనౌషధి పరివోజన (PMBJP) దేశవ్యాప్తంగా తక్కువ ధరలకు నాణ్యమైన జనరిక్ మందులను అందుబాటులోకి తీసుకువచ్చిన ప్రముఖ ఆరోగ్య కార్యక్రమంగా నిలుస్తోంది. ఈ పథకం ద్వారా సాధారణ ప్రజలకు అవసరమైన మందులు మార్కెట్ ధరల కంటే చాలా తక్కువ ధరలకు అందుతున్నాయని అధికారులు తెలిపారు.

జనౌషధి కేంద్రాల ద్వారా హృదయ సంబంధిత వ్యాధులు, మధుమేహం, రక్తపోటు, ఇన్ఫెక్షన్లు మరియు ఇతర సాధారణ వ్యాధులకు సంబంధించిన జనరిక్ మందులు అందుబాటులో ఉన్నాయి. బ్రాండ్ మందులతో పోలిస్తే ఈ మందులు నాణ్యతలో సమానంగా ఉండి, ధరలో మాత్రం గణనీయంగా తక్కువగా ఉంటాయని పేర్కొన్నారు.

దేశవ్యాప్తంగా వేల సంఖ్యలో జనౌషధి కేంద్రాలు ఏర్పాటు చేయడం ద్వారా గ్రామీణ మరియు పట్టణ ప్రాంతాల్లో ప్రజలకు సులభంగా మందులు అందే విధంగా చర్యలు తీసుకున్నారు. దీని వల్ల ముఖ్యంగా మధ్యతరగతి మరియు పేద కుటుంబాలకు వైద్య ఖర్చులు తగ్గుతున్నాయని తెలిపారు.

The Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) has emerged as a major initiative to provide affordable and quality generic medicines across India. Through this scheme, essential medicines are made available to the public at significantly lower prices compared to branded medicines.

Officials said that Janaushadhi Kendras supply medicines for several common health conditions including heart diseases, diabetes, blood pressure and infections. These generic medicines are considered equivalent in quality to branded medicines but are offered at much lower prices.

Thousands of Janaushadhi Kendras have been established across the country to ensure easy access to medicines in both rural and urban areas. This has helped reduce medical expenses for many families, especially those from middle- and low-income groups.

The initiative aims not only to make medicines affordable but also to strengthen access to healthcare services for all sections of society. It is considered an important step toward improving transparency and accessibility in the pharmaceutical sector.
