హరీశ్ రావు సీఎం రేవంత్ రెడ్డికి బహిరంగ లేఖ రాశారు. పీజీ వైద్య విద్యా ప్రవేశాల్లో రిజర్వేషన్ లేకపోవడం వల్ల తెలంగాణ విద్యార్థులు ఎదుర్కొంటున్న తీవ్రమైన అన్యాయాన్ని వెంటనే సరిదిద్దాలని ఆయన డిమాండ్ చేశారు. రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వ ఉదాసీనత, నిర్లక్ష్యం కారణంగా ఈ ఏడాది వందలాది స్థానిక అభ్యర్థులు తమ సీట్లు కోల్పోతున్నారని పేర్కొన్నారు.
తెలంగాణలోని మెడికల్ కళాశాలల్లో మొత్తం 1,801 పీజీ సీట్లు ఉన్నాయి. వీటిలో 50 శాతం ఆల్ ఇండియా కోటాకు వెళ్తాయి. మిగిలిన 50శాతం రాష్ట్ర కోటాలో ఉండే సీట్లలో 25శాతం (సుమారు 450) మేనేజ్మెంట్ కోటాగా కేటాయించబడతాయి. అయితే ఈ మేనేజ్మెంట్ సీట్లలో స్థానిక రిజర్వేషన్ అమలు చేయకపోవడంతో మొత్తం సీట్లు ఇతర రాష్ట్రాల విద్యార్థులకు వెళ్తున్నాయని హరీశ్ రావు ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేశారు.
ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్లో 85శాతం లోకల్ రిజర్వేషన్ ఉంటే తెలంగాణలో మాత్రం శూన్యమని ఆయన వివరించారు. ప్రభుత్వ నిర్లక్ష్యం వల్ల తెలంగాణ విద్యార్థులు 382 పీజీ సీట్లను కోల్పోతున్నారని తెలిపారు. గతంలో బీఆర్ఎస్ ప్రభుత్వం తీసుకున్న రక్షణాత్మక నిర్ణయాలను కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రభుత్వం పట్టించుకోవడం లేదని విమర్శించారు.
మేనేజ్మెంట్ కోటా సీట్లలో 85శాతం స్థానిక రిజర్వేషన్లు తక్షణం అమలు చేయాలని హరీశ్ రావు డిమాండ్ చేశారు. ఇప్పటికే విడుదల చేసిన పీజీ ప్రవేశాల నోటిఫికేషన్ను రద్దు చేసి, కొత్త జీవో ద్వారా తెలంగాణ విద్యార్థుల ప్రయోజనాలను కాపాడే విధానం రూపొందించాలని కోరారు.
Harish Rao has written an open letter to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, alleging that Telangana students are facing severe injustice in PG medical admissions due to the absence of local reservation. He said that government negligence is leading to the loss of hundreds of seats for Telangana candidates this year.
There are 1,801 PG medical seats in Telangana. About 50 percent go under the All India quota, while the remaining fall under the state quota. Of these, 25 percent (nearly 450 seats) come under the management quota. Harish Rao pointed out that the lack of local reservation in these seats is resulting in admissions going to students from other states.
He compared the situation with Andhra Pradesh, where 85 percent reservation exists for locals, while Telangana has none. He stated that 382 Telangana students are losing out on seats because of the current policy. He criticized the Congress government for ignoring the protective measures taken during the previous BRS administration.
He demanded immediate implementation of 85 percent local reservation in management quota seats, cancellation of the current PG admission notification, and issuance of a new GO to protect Telangana students.
