ఇలాంటి ఫలితాలపై డబ్బా కొట్టుకోవడానికి ఏముందని ప్రశ్నించారు. ప్రజలు పనుల అవసరాల దృష్ట్యా ఓటు వేస్తారని, దానిని రాజకీయ విజయంగా ప్రదర్శించడం సరైంది కాదని అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు.
Reacting to the recently concluded municipal elections, Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy said local body polls usually favour the ruling party. He stated that voters tend to support the party in power to ensure development works in their areas.
He added that in elections such as Sarpanch, Municipal, MPTC and ZPTC, a majority of votes generally go to the ruling party. Questioning the celebrations over the results, he asked what there is to boast about, saying such outcomes are a routine trend in local body polls.
