Actor Vishnu Manchu, Pro-Chancellor of Mohan Babu University, has issued a detailed clarification stating that the recent reports about the university are misleading and legally sub judice.
తిరుపతిలోని మోహన్ బాబు యూనివర్సిటీపై ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ ఉన్నత విద్యా నియంత్రణ, పర్యవేక్షణ కమిషన్ (APHERMC) చేసిన సిఫార్సులపై వస్తున్న వార్తల నేపథ్యంలో ప్రో-ఛాన్సలర్, నటుడు విష్ణు మంచు స్పందించారు. ఈ వార్తలను ఉద్దేశించి ఆయన ఒక ప్రకటన విడుదల చేశారు. “APHERMC చేసిన సిఫార్సులు కేవలం సిఫార్సులే, ప్రస్తుతం అవి ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ హైకోర్టులో విచారణలో (సబ్-జ్యుడిస్) ఉన్నాయని” తెలిపారు.
విష్ణు మంచు వివరాల్లో పేర్కొన్నదాని ప్రకారం, హైకోర్టు ఇప్పటికే విశ్వవిద్యాలయానికి అనుకూలంగా ‘స్టే’ ఉత్తర్వులు జారీ చేసిందని, అయినప్పటికీ APHERMC ఆ ఉత్తర్వులను ఉల్లంఘించి తన పోర్టల్లో నివేదికను ప్రచురించడం దురదృష్టకరమని అన్నారు. మోహన్ బాబు యూనివర్సిటీ ఆ సిఫార్సులను తీవ్రంగా వ్యతిరేకిస్తోందని, హైకోర్టు న్యాయం చేస్తుందనే విశ్వాసం వ్యక్తం చేశారు.
అలాగే, విశ్వవిద్యాలయ ప్రతిష్ఠను దిగజార్చేందుకు కొంతమంది ఉద్దేశపూర్వకంగా సెలెక్టెడ్ సమాచారాన్ని మీడియాలో ప్రచారం చేస్తున్నారని, అలాంటి నిరాధారమైన వార్తలను నమ్మవద్దని తల్లిదండ్రులు, మీడియా, భాగస్వాములకు విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు.
విశ్వవిద్యాలయం ప్రస్తుతం దేశంలోని అగ్రశ్రేణి విద్యాసంస్థల్లో ఒకటిగా నిలుస్తూ, రాయలసీమ ప్రాంతాన్ని ఉన్నత విద్యకు ప్రాధాన్య కేంద్రంగా నిలబెడుతోందని తెలిపారు. MBU విద్యార్థులు ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్లో అత్యధిక ప్లేస్మెంట్లు, వేతన ప్యాకేజీలు పొందుతున్నారని చెప్పారు.
అలాగే, ఈ సంస్థ సామాజిక బాధ్యతతో ముందుకు సాగుతోందని, సాయుధ దళాలు, పోలీసు సిబ్బంది పిల్లలకు స్కాలర్షిప్లు, అనాథలకు విద్య, సంరక్షణ అందించడం వంటి కార్యక్రమాలు నిరంతరంగా కొనసాగుతున్నాయని వివరించారు.
అంతర్జాతీయ స్థాయిలో కూడా విశ్వవిద్యాలయం ప్రతిష్ఠ పెరిగిందని, అమెరికాలోని పెన్ స్టేట్ యూనివర్శిటీతో జాయింట్ డిగ్రీ ప్రోగ్రామ్ను ప్రారంభించిన భారతదేశపు తొలి విశ్వవిద్యాలయమని చెప్పారు. అలాగే జర్మనీకి చెందిన RWTH ఆకెన్, అమెరికా విస్కాన్సిన్ యూనివర్శిటీతో కూడా అవగాహన ఒప్పందాలు ఉన్నాయని తెలిపారు.

Vishnu Manchu responds on reports about Mohan Babu University — “They are only recommendations, case pending in High Court.”
Actor Vishnu Manchu, Pro-Chancellor of Mohan Babu University, has released a clarification addressing reports regarding the Andhra Pradesh Higher Education Regulatory and Monitoring Commission (APHERMC)’s recommendations. He stated that these are merely recommendations and are currently under judicial consideration in the Andhra Pradesh High Court.
According to his statement, the High Court has already issued a stay order in favor of the university, yet APHERMC has disregarded it and uploaded the report on its portal, which he described as unfortunate. He emphasized that the university strongly disagrees with the Commission’s recommendations and is confident that the High Court will deliver justice.
Vishnu also alleged that selective information is being circulated in the media with the intent to tarnish the university’s reputation and urged parents, partners, and the media not to believe baseless news.
He further stated that Mohan Babu University stands as one of the top educational institutions in the country, playing a vital role in establishing Rayalaseema as a hub for higher education. The university has consistently achieved record placements and salary packages for students in Andhra Pradesh.
Vishnu highlighted the university’s long-standing social commitment, including providing scholarships to children of armed forces and police personnel, and adopting orphans to offer them education and care.
On the global front, he pointed out that MBU is the first Indian university to introduce a joint degree program with the QS top-100 ranked Penn State University (USA) and has MoUs with RWTH Aachen (Germany) and the University of Wisconsin (USA).
Concluding his statement, Vishnu said, “Under the guidance of our Chancellor Dr. M. Mohan Babu, we continue to empower youth by providing world-class, holistic education.”
