Chief Minister Revanth Reddy participated in the ‘Praja Palana – Rythu Utsavalu’ programme held at Narmetta in Siddipet district. During the event, he inaugurated the oil palm factory, laid the foundation stone for a refinery and other development works, and released Rythu Bharosa funds.

The Telangana government organised the programme with a focus on strengthening the agriculture sector. The oil palm factory established at Narmetta is expected to directly benefit farmers by providing a nearby processing facility and ensuring quicker payments for their produce.

As part of the Rythu Utsavalu, exhibitions showcasing modern agricultural technologies and equipment were arranged. Farmers were educated on crop diversification and high-income crops like oil palm cultivation.

Officials stated that the facility would encourage large-scale oil palm farming and improve market access for farmers across Siddipet and neighbouring districts. The initiative is expected to enhance farmers’ income and reduce dependency on distant processing units.
