తెలుగు సినిమా తొలి నేపథ్య గాయని రావు బాలసరస్వతి దేవి మరణం పట్ల ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి సంతాపం ప్రకటించారు. ఆమె చలనచిత్ర సంగీతానికి చేసిన సేవలు మరపురానివని ఆయన పేర్కొన్నారు.

తెలుగు చలనచిత్ర రంగంలో తొలి నేపథ్య గాయనిగా గుర్తింపు పొందిన రావు బాలసరస్వతి దేవి మృతి పట్ల ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి సంతాపం తెలిపారు. ఆమె దక్షిణాదిలో తొలి ప్లేబ్యాక్ సింగర్గా, తెలుగు సినిమాకు లలిత సంగీతాన్ని పరిచయం చేసిన పయనిగా నిలిచారని గుర్తుచేశారు. బాలసరస్వతి దేవి మరణం చలనచిత్ర రంగానికి తీరని లోటు అని ముఖ్యమంత్రి పేర్కొన్నారు.
శోకసంతప్తులైన వారి కుటుంబ సభ్యులకు ప్రగాఢ సానుభూతి తెలిపారు. బాలసరస్వతి దేవి తెలుగు సంగీత రంగ చరిత్రలో అజరామరమైన ముద్ర వేశారని ఆయన పేర్కొన్నారు.
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy condoled the death of veteran playback singer Rao Balasaraswathi Devi, who was the first background singer in Telugu cinema and one of South India’s earliest female playback artists. He said Balasaraswathi Devi introduced light classical music to Telugu films and her demise marks an irreparable loss to the film industry. The Chief Minister conveyed heartfelt sympathies to her bereaved family members.
