ఢిల్లీ పర్యటన సందర్భంగా ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి కేంద్ర హోం మంత్రి అమిత్ షాతో భేటీ అయ్యారు. తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర అవసరాలను దృష్టిలో ఉంచుకుని ఐపీఎస్ అధికారుల సంఖ్యను పెంచి కేటాయించాలని కోరారు. రాష్ట్ర విభజన తర్వాత 2016లో మొదటి క్యాడర్ రివ్యూ జరిగిందని, 2021లో జరగాల్సిన రెండో క్యాడర్ రివ్యూ ఆలస్యంగా 2025లో జరిగిందని గుర్తుచేశారు. ఆ సమీక్షలో తెలంగాణకు కేవలం ఏడుగురు ఐపీఎస్ అధికారులను మాత్రమే కేటాయించారని తెలిపారు.
During his visit to Delhi, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and urged the Centre to increase the number of IPS officers allocated to Telangana. He recalled that the first cadre review after state bifurcation was conducted in 2016, while the second review, due in 2021, was delayed until 2025. In that review, only seven IPS officers were allotted to Telangana.

దేశంతో పాటు తెలంగాణ కూడా సైబర్ నేరాలు, డ్రగ్స్, వైట్ కాలర్ నేరాలు వంటి ఆధునిక సవాళ్లను ఎదుర్కొంటోందని ముఖ్యమంత్రి వివరించారు. హైదరాబాద్, సైబరాబాద్, మల్కాజిగిరి కమిషనరేట్ల పునర్వ్యవస్థీకరణతో పాటు ఫ్యూచర్ సిటీ కమిషనరేట్ ఏర్పాటు వంటి అంశాల నేపథ్యంలో పెద్ద సంఖ్యలో ఐపీఎస్ అధికారుల అవసరం ఉందని చెప్పారు. హైదరాబాద్ నగరంలో వేగంగా పెరుగుతున్న జనాభా కూడా పోలీసు వ్యవస్థపై ఒత్తిడిని పెంచుతోందని పేర్కొన్నారు.
The Chief Minister explained that Telangana, like the rest of the country, is facing modern challenges such as cybercrime, drug trafficking, and white-collar crimes. He said that the reorganisation of Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Malkajgiri commissionerates and the proposed Future City commissionerate require more IPS officers. Rapid population growth in Hyderabad is also increasing pressure on the policing system.

మూడో క్యాడర్ రివ్యూను నిర్దేశిత 2026 సంవత్సరంలోనే నిర్వహించాలని కూడా ముఖ్యమంత్రి విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. ప్రస్తుతం రాష్ట్రంలో 83 మంది ఐపీఎస్ అధికారులు ఉన్నారని, ఆ సంఖ్యను 103కి పెంచాలని కేంద్రానికి సూచించారు.
He also requested that the third cadre review be conducted in 2026 as scheduled. At present, the state has 83 IPS officers, and the Chief Minister proposed increasing the number to 103.

ఈ సమావేశంలో మావోయిస్టుల లొంగుబాటుపై కూడా చర్చ జరిగింది. గత రెండేళ్లలో తెలంగాణ పోలీసింగ్‌లో గణనీయమైన మార్పులు వచ్చాయని ముఖ్యమంత్రి తెలిపారు. రాష్ట్రంలో 591 మంది మావోయిస్టులు ఆయుధాలను విడిచి సాధారణ జీవితంలోకి వచ్చారని చెప్పారు. ఇటీవల పలువురు అగ్రనేతలు కూడా లొంగుబాటు చేసి పునరావాసానికి ముందుకు వచ్చారని వివరించారు.
The meeting also included discussions on Maoist surrenders. The Chief Minister stated that policing in Telangana has seen significant changes over the past two years. A total of 591 Maoists have laid down arms and joined mainstream society, while several senior leaders have recently surrendered and opted for rehabilitation.

మావోయిస్టులకు ప్రభుత్వం అందిస్తున్న పునరావాసం, పరిహారం అంశాలను కూడా కేంద్ర హోం మంత్రికి వివరించారు. అదనంగా, రాష్ట్రంలోని వెనుకబడిన ప్రాంతాల్లో అభివృద్ధి పనులకు కేంద్రం నిధులు కేటాయించాలని కోరారు. ఈ సమావేశంలో ముఖ్యమంత్రి ప్రిన్సిపల్ సెక్రటరీ వి. శేషాద్రి, డీజీపీ బి. శివధర్ రెడ్డి, ఇంటెలిజెన్స్ అదనపు డీజీపీ విజయ్ కుమార్, ఎస్‌ఐబి ఐజీపీ బి. సుమతి పాల్గొన్నారు.
He also briefed the Union Home Minister on the rehabilitation and compensation provided to surrendered Maoists. Additionally, he requested central assistance for development projects in backward regions of the state. The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary V. Sheshadri, DGP B. Shivadhar Reddy, Intelligence ADGP Vijay Kumar, and SIB IGP B. Sumathi.
