Telangana Govt Announces Free Medical Tests for Women, Loan Insurance Scheme
తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం మహిళా సాధికారతను లక్ష్యంగా పెట్టుకుని మరో ముఖ్య నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంది. ఇప్పటికే రాష్ట్రంలో మహిళల ఆర్థికాభివృద్ధి కోసం పలు పథకాలను అమలు చేస్తున్న రేవంత్ సర్కార్ తాజాగా మహిళలకు మరిన్ని ప్రయోజనాలు అందించే చర్యలను ప్రారంభించింది.
రానున్న బడ్జెట్లో మహిళలకు ప్రత్యేకంగా కొత్త పథకాలను ప్రవేశపెట్టేందుకు ప్రభుత్వం సిద్ధమవుతోంది. ముఖ్యంగా టీ-డయాగ్నస్టిక్స్ నెట్వర్క్ ద్వారా దాదాపు 30 రకాల కీలక వైద్య పరీక్షలను మహిళలకు ఉచితంగా అందించనుంది. ఈ స్క్రీనింగ్ కార్యక్రమం నాలుగు దశల్లో ఆరు నెలల పాటు కొనసాగనుంది.
రాష్ట్రంలో కోటి మంది మహిళలను ఆర్థికంగా బలపరచడం లక్ష్యంగా ప్రభుత్వం పలు చర్యలు చేపడుతోంది. ఇప్పటికే ఉచిత బస్సు ప్రయాణం, రూ.500లకే గ్యాస్ సిలిండర్, వడ్డీ రహిత రుణాలు, మహిళల నిర్వహణలో క్యాంటీన్లు, అద్దె బస్సుల యాజమాన్యం వంటి కార్యక్రమాలు అమలు చేస్తున్నది. ఇదే సమయంలో డ్వాక్రా మహిళల కోసం కొత్త విధానాన్ని కూడా తీసుకురానుంది.
ఇప్పటి వరకు డ్వాక్రా గ్రూప్ సభ్యులకు మాత్రమే బీమా సదుపాయం ఉండేది. బ్యాంకు నుంచి రుణం తీసుకున్న సభ్యురాలు మరణిస్తే ఆ బకాయిని కుటుంబ సభ్యులే చెల్లించాల్సి వచ్చేది. ఇప్పుడు ఆ భారాన్ని తగ్గించేందుకు మహిళల రుణాలకు ప్రత్యేక బీమా పథకాన్ని ప్రభుత్వం ప్రవేశపెట్టింది. ఈ పథకం ప్రకారం రుణం తీసుకున్న మహిళ మరణిస్తే ఆ రుణాన్ని ప్రభుత్వమే బ్యాంకుకు చెల్లిస్తుంది. అదనంగా ఆ సభ్యురాలికి రూ.10 లక్షల బీమా కవరేజ్ ఉంటుంది. ఈ బీమా ప్రీమియంను కూడా ప్రభుత్వమే భరిస్తుంది.
మరోవైపు 100 రోజుల ఆరోగ్య మిషన్ కార్యక్రమం ద్వారా రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్తంగా ఆరోగ్య సేవలను మరింత బలోపేతం చేయాలని ప్రభుత్వం లక్ష్యంగా పెట్టుకుంది. ముఖ్యంగా మహిళలు, పిల్లలు, వృద్ధుల ఆరోగ్యానికి ప్రాధాన్యత ఇస్తోంది. అంతర్జాతీయ మహిళా దినోత్సవం సందర్భంగా మార్చి 8న మహిళలకు ప్రత్యేక హెల్త్ స్క్రీనింగ్ పరీక్షలను ప్రారంభించనుంది.
గ్రామీణ, పట్టణ ప్రాంతాల్లోని పేద మహిళలు ఖర్చు భారం లేకుండా అత్యాధునిక వైద్య పరీక్షలు పొందేలా చర్యలు తీసుకుంటోంది. మహిళల్లో ప్రాణాంతక క్యాన్సర్ వంటి వ్యాధులను ముందుగానే గుర్తించేందుకు క్యాన్సర్ స్క్రీనింగ్ పరీక్షలను కూడా ఇందులో భాగం చేశారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో భాగంగా ప్రతి మహిళకు డిజిటల్ హెల్త్ ప్రొఫైల్ కూడా రూపొందించనుంది ప్రభుత్వం. భవిష్యత్తులో ఏదైనా అనారోగ్యం వచ్చినప్పుడు వారి పూర్తి వైద్య చరిత్ర ఆన్లైన్లో అందుబాటులో ఉండడం వల్ల మెరుగైన చికిత్స అందించడం సులభమవుతుంది.The Telangana government has taken another important step aimed at strengthening women’s empowerment and welfare. The state administration has already been implementing several schemes to improve women’s financial stability and is now preparing to introduce additional initiatives.
According to officials, the government plans to launch new schemes in the upcoming state budget. As part of this effort, nearly 30 types of essential medical tests will be provided free of cost to women through the T-Diagnostics network. The screening program will be conducted in four phases and is expected to continue for six months.
The government has set an ambitious goal of economically empowering one crore women in the state. Several welfare initiatives are already in place, including free bus travel for women, LPG cylinders at ₹500, interest-free loans, women-run canteens, and support for women to operate rental buses. In addition, a new policy is being prepared specifically for DWACRA women’s groups.
Until now, insurance coverage was limited to certain members of DWACRA groups. If a woman who had taken a bank loan passed away, her family members had to repay the outstanding loan. To reduce this burden, the government has now introduced an insurance scheme for women’s loans. Under the new policy, if a borrower dies, the government will repay the loan to the bank. Additionally, the woman will have an insurance cover of ₹10 lakh, and the premium will also be paid by the government.
Meanwhile, the state is preparing to launch a major public health initiative under the “100-Day Health Mission.” The program aims to strengthen healthcare services across the state, with special focus on women, children, and the elderly.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8, special health screening tests for women will be launched. The objective is to ensure that poor women in both rural and urban areas receive advanced diagnostic services without any financial burden.
The screening program will also include cancer detection tests to identify life-threatening diseases at an early stage. Early diagnosis is expected to significantly improve treatment outcomes.
As part of the initiative, the government will also create a digital health profile for every participating woman. This digital record will store the individual’s medical history online, allowing doctors to access accurate health data in the future and provide more effective treatment.
