తెలంగాణలో వేసవి కాలంలో విద్యుత్ వినియోగం పెరుగుతున్న నేపథ్యంలో విద్యుత్ ఛార్జీలు పెరుగుతాయనే ప్రచారంపై విద్యుత్ శాఖ అధికారులు స్పష్టత ఇచ్చారు. ఈ ఏడాది విద్యుత్ ఛార్జీల పెంపు ఉండదని సదర్న్ పవర్ డిస్ట్రిబ్యూషన్ కంపెనీ లిమిటెడ్ (TSSPDCL) సీఎండీ జితేష్ వి పాటిల్ తెలిపారు.

ఎస్పీడీసీఎల్ పరిధిలో ప్రస్తుతం మొత్తం 1,20,95,963 మంది వినియోగదారులు ఉన్నారని ఆయన పేర్కొన్నారు. గత ఏడాదితో పోలిస్తే ఈ సంవత్సరం 12,09,563 మంది వినియోగదారులు పెరిగినట్లు వెల్లడించారు.

ఈ ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరంలో డిసెంబర్ వరకు 39.556 మిలియన్ యూనిట్ల విద్యుత్ వినియోగం నమోదైనట్లు తెలిపారు. ఇందులో గృహ వినియోగం 23 శాతం, పారిశ్రామిక రంగం 31 శాతం, వ్యవసాయ రంగం 21 శాతం, వాణిజ్య వినియోగం 16 శాతం, ఇతర విభాగాలు 9 శాతం వాటా కలిగి ఉన్నాయని వివరించారు.

రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్తంగా ఈ నెల 3న గరిష్ఠంగా 18,139 మెగావాట్ల విద్యుత్ డిమాండ్ నమోదైంది. అందులో గ్రేటర్ హైదరాబాద్ మున్సిపల్ కార్పొరేషన్ పరిధిలోనే 4,421 మెగావాట్ల డిమాండ్ నమోదైనట్లు తెలిపారు.

రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం అమలు చేస్తున్న గృహజ్యోతి పథకం కారణంగా విద్యుత్ చౌర్యం తగ్గిందని అధికారులు తెలిపారు. ఈ ఏడాది ఫిబ్రవరి వరకు ఎస్పీడీసీఎల్ పరిధిలో 5.44 కోట్ల జీరో బిల్లులు జారీ చేయగా, వాటికి సంబంధించి రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం నుంచి రూ.1,930.66 కోట్ల సబ్సిడీ అందినట్లు వెల్లడించారు.

అదేవిధంగా విద్యుదాఘాతంతో ప్రాణాలు కోల్పోయిన ఇద్దరు రైతుల కుటుంబాలకు ఆర్థిక సాయం అందజేసినట్లు కూడా అధికారులు తెలిపారు.

Power department officials clarified that electricity tariffs will remain unchanged in Telangana this year. The announcement comes amid rising power consumption during the summer season.

TSSPDCL Chairman and Managing Director Jitesh V. Patil stated that the power distribution company currently serves 12,095,963 consumers, with an increase of 1,209,563 consumers compared to last year.

According to the data, total electricity consumption reached 39.556 million units up to December in the current financial year. Domestic consumption accounted for 23 percent, industrial usage 31 percent, agriculture 21 percent, commercial sector 16 percent and other categories 9 percent.

On the 3rd of this month, the state recorded a peak electricity demand of 18,139 megawatts. Out of this, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area alone accounted for a peak demand of 4,421 megawatts.

Officials also stated that the Gruhajyothi scheme introduced by the state government has helped reduce electricity theft. By February this year, around 5.44 crore zero electricity bills were issued under the scheme, and the state government provided ₹1,930.66 crore as subsidy.

Authorities also mentioned that financial assistance was provided to the families of two farmers who lost their lives due to electrocution.
