‘గిగ్ వర్కర్స్’కు కాంగ్రెస్ తీరని ద్రోహం | Congress Betrayed Gig Workers: KTR
కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ గిగ్ వర్కర్స్కు ఇచ్చిన హామీలను అమలు చేయకుండా మోసం చేసిందని బీఆర్ఎస్ వర్కింగ్ ప్రెసిడెంట్ కేటీఆర్ తీవ్ర విమర్శలు చేశారు. అభయహస్తం డిక్లరేషన్లో గిగ్, ప్లాట్ఫారమ్ కార్మికులకు ఇచ్చిన హామీలను వెంటనే అమలు చేయాలని ఆయన డిమాండ్ చేశారు.

గిగ్ వర్కర్స్ సమస్యలపై కేటీఆర్ స్పందన
ఈరోజు తెలంగాణ భవన్లో కేటీఆర్ను కలిసిన తెలంగాణ గిగ్ అండ్ ప్లాట్ఫారమ్ వర్కర్స్ యూనియన్ (TGPWU) సభ్యులు తమ సమస్యలను వివరించారు. కాంగ్రెస్ హామీలు ఇచ్చినప్పటికీ వాటిని అమలు చేయకపోవడంపై వారు ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేశారు.
కేటీఆర్ మాట్లాడుతూ గిగ్ వర్కర్స్కు అండగా ఉంటామని భరోసా ఇచ్చారు. గిగ్ వర్కర్స్ వెల్ఫేర్ బోర్డు ఏర్పాటు, బీమాతో కూడిన సామాజిక భద్రత, సరైన వేతనాలు, మరణించిన కార్మికులకు పరిహారం వంటి అంశాలను కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రభుత్వం వెంటనే అమలు చేయాలని డిమాండ్ చేశారు.
హామీలపై కాంగ్రెస్ వైఖరి
కాంగ్రెస్ కేవలం ఓట్ల కోసం హామీలు ఇస్తుందని, కానీ అధికారంలోకి వచ్చాక వాటిని మరిచిపోవడం అలవాటైపోయిందని కేటీఆర్ విమర్శించారు. రాహుల్ గాంధీ స్వయంగా ఈ బాధ్యత తీసుకున్నప్పటికీ, ఇప్పటివరకు స్పందన లేదన్నారు.
ప్రమాద బీమా పరిహారం అందని కుటుంబాలు
కేటీఆర్ వెల్లడించిన వివరాల ప్రకారం, అహ్మద్ బిన్ అబ్దుల్ ఖుదర్, శ్యామ్ సుందర్, లొకుర్తి నరేష్ కుటుంబాలకు ప్రభుత్వం ప్రకటించిన ₹5 లక్షల బీమా పరిహారం ఇప్పటికీ అందలేదు. అవసరమైన అన్ని పత్రాలు సమర్పించినప్పటికీ ప్రభుత్వం స్పందించలేదని ఆయన ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేశారు.
ప్రత్యేక చట్టానికి మద్దతు
గిగ్, ప్లాట్ఫారమ్ కార్మికుల కోసం ప్రత్యేక చట్టాన్ని తీసుకువస్తే బీఆర్ఎస్ పార్టీ సంపూర్ణ మద్దతు ఇస్తుందని కేటీఆర్ హామీ ఇచ్చారు. కార్మికుల భద్రత, గౌరవం, హక్కులను కాపాడటం ప్రభుత్వ నైతిక బాధ్యత అని ఆయన స్పష్టం చేశారు.

Meeting with Gig Workers’ Union
Members of the Telangana Gig and Platform Workers Union (TGPWU) met KTR at Telangana Bhavan and shared their grievances. They expressed disappointment that the Congress government has not implemented even a single promise despite assurances during elections.
KTR assured them that BRS would stand by gig workers. He demanded the establishment of a Gig Workers’ Welfare Board, provision of social security with insurance, fair wages, and immediate compensation for deceased workers’ families.
Congress Habit of False Promises
KTR alleged that the Congress has developed a habit of making false promises just to win votes and later forgetting them after coming to power. He reminded that Rahul Gandhi himself had taken responsibility for implementing these assurances, yet no action has been taken.
Insurance Compensation Denied
According to KTR, families of gig workers Ahmed bin Abdul Khuder, Shyam Sundar, and Lokurthi Naresh, who lost their lives, have still not received the ₹5 lakh accident insurance compensation promised by the government, despite submitting all necessary documents.
Call for Special Legislation
KTR said that if the government brings a special law for the welfare of gig and platform workers, BRS will extend full support. He emphasized that ensuring the safety, dignity, and rights of workers is not just a political responsibility but also a moral duty of the government.
