గత కొన్ని రోజులుగా సోషల్ మీడియాలో గ్యాస్ సిలిండర్ రీఫిల్ బుకింగ్ గడువులు 25, 35, 45 రోజులుగా మారుతున్నాయన్న వార్తలు విస్తృతంగా ప్రచారం అయ్యాయి. దీనిపై స్పందించిన కేంద్ర పెట్రోలియం మరియు సహజ వాయువు మంత్రిత్వ శాఖ.. ఆ ప్రచారంలో ఎలాంటి నిజం లేదని ఖండించింది. ప్రస్తుతం అమల్లో ఉన్న విధానమే కొనసాగుతుందని వెల్లడించింది.
ప్రస్తుత నిబంధనల ప్రకారం పట్టణ ప్రాంతాల్లో 25 రోజుల గడువు, గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాల్లో 45 రోజుల గడువు కొనసాగుతుందని స్పష్టం చేసింది. ఇది కనెక్షన్ రకం ఆధారంగా కాకుండా సాధారణంగా అమల్లో ఉన్న విధానమేనని తెలిపింది.
పెట్రోల్, డీజిల్, ఎల్పీజీ నిల్వలు దేశంలో పుష్కలంగా ఉన్నాయని అధికారులు భరోసా ఇచ్చారు. పశ్చిమ ఆసియాలో ఉద్రిక్తతల కారణంగా సరఫరా నిలిచిపోతుందనే భయంతో కొందరు ముందస్తుగా బుకింగ్లు చేస్తున్నారని, అలా చేయాల్సిన అవసరం లేదని సూచించారు.
దేశంలోని రిఫైనరీలు పూర్తి సామర్థ్యంతో పనిచేస్తున్నాయని, ఎల్పీజీ ఉత్పత్తిని కూడా పెంచినట్లు తెలిపారు. పైప్డ్ నేచురల్ గ్యాస్ కనెక్షన్లను వేగంగా విస్తరించేందుకు ప్రభుత్వం చర్యలు తీసుకుంటోందని వెల్లడించారు.
అక్రమ నిల్వలు, బ్లాక్ మార్కెటింగ్పై కేంద్రం కఠిన చర్యలు చేపడుతోంది. పలు రాష్ట్రాల్లో దాడులు నిర్వహించి సిలిండర్లను స్వాధీనం చేసుకున్నట్లు అధికారులు తెలిపారు. నిబంధనలు ఉల్లంఘించిన వారిపై కేసులు నమోదు చేసి చర్యలు తీసుకుంటున్నారు.
ప్రజలు పుకార్లను నమ్మకుండా, అవసరానికి మించి బుకింగ్లు చేయకుండా ఉండాలని ప్రభుత్వం విజ్ఞప్తి చేసింది.

The Union government has clarified that there is no change in LPG cylinder refill booking timelines, dismissing rumours circulating on social media.
In recent days, reports claiming revised booking intervals of 25, 35, and 45 days for different LPG connections created confusion among consumers. Responding to these claims, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas stated that no such changes have been made and the existing system continues.
As per the current rules, refill booking intervals remain 25 days in urban areas and 45 days in rural areas, irrespective of the type of connection. Officials emphasized that the viral claims are false and misleading.
Authorities also assured that petrol, diesel, and LPG stocks are adequate across the country. Panic booking due to fears of supply disruption amid West Asia tensions is unnecessary, officials said.
All refineries are operating at full capacity, and LPG production has been ramped up to meet demand. The government is also focusing on expanding piped natural gas (PNG) connections across institutions and communities.
Meanwhile, strict action is being taken against illegal hoarding and black marketing. Enforcement agencies have conducted raids in multiple states, seizing cylinders and registering cases against violators.
The government urged citizens not to believe rumours and to avoid unnecessary panic bookings, assuring uninterrupted fuel supply nationwide.
