CM seeks central funds for Krishna–Vikarabad rail line, proposes high-speed corridors
కృష్ణా–వికారాబాద్ రైలు మార్గాన్ని పూర్తిగా కేంద్ర నిధులతో చేపట్టాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి రైల్వే మంత్రి అశ్వినీ వైష్ణవ్ను కోరారు. ఈ ప్రాజెక్టుకు సంబంధించిన భూ సేకరణ వ్యయాన్ని రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం పూర్తిగా భరిస్తుందని స్పష్టం చేశారు.
ఢిల్లీలో పార్లమెంట్లోని రైల్వే మంత్రిగారి కార్యాలయంలో జరిగిన భేటీలో ఈ అంశాలపై విస్తృతంగా చర్చించారు. ప్రతిపాదిత మార్గంలోని టేకల్కోడ్ ప్రాంతంలో లైమ్ స్టోన్ నిక్షేపాలు గుర్తించామని, సిమెంట్ మరియు జౌళి పరిశ్రమల అభివృద్ధికి ఈ మార్గం దోహదపడుతుందని ముఖ్యమంత్రి వివరించారు.
తాను ప్రాతినిధ్యం వహిస్తున్న కొడంగల్ నియోజకవర్గానికి, అలాగే కర్ణాటకలోని పలు సిమెంట్ పరిశ్రమలకు కృష్ణా ప్రాంతం సమీపంలో ఉందని తెలిపారు. కొడంగల్, టేకల్కోడ్, దౌల్తాబాద్ ప్రాంతాలను పారిశ్రామిక జోన్లుగా అభివృద్ధి చేస్తున్నట్టు చెప్పారు.
హైదరాబాద్–చెన్నై (778 కి.మీ.), హైదరాబాద్–బెంగళూరు (586 కి.మీ.), హైదరాబాద్–పుణే (556 కి.మీ.) హైస్పీడ్ రైలు కారిడార్ల కోసం శంషాబాద్ అంతర్జాతీయ విమానాశ్రయం సమీపంలో 500 ఎకరాల భూమి కేటాయిస్తామని కేంద్ర మంత్రికి తెలిపారు.
ఈ హైస్పీడ్ మార్గాలను శంషాబాద్ నుంచే ప్రారంభించాలని సూచించారు. హైదరాబాద్–చెన్నై హైస్పీడ్ కారిడార్ అమరావతి మీదుగా వెళ్లేలా ప్రణాళిక రూపొందించి, అక్కడి నుంచి బందరు పోర్టుకు రైలు మార్గం మంజూరు చేయాలని కోరారు.
దీంతో డ్రైపోర్ట్ నుంచి బందరు పోర్టుకు సరుకు రవాణా వేగవంతం అవుతుందని తెలిపారు. హైదరాబాద్–బెంగళూరు, హైదరాబాద్–పుణే కారిడార్లు శంషాబాద్ నుంచే ప్రారంభమైతే అది కీలక త్రివేణి జంక్షన్గా అభివృద్ధి చెందుతుందని పేర్కొన్నారు.
ఈ మూడు కారిడార్లకు భూ సేకరణ ప్రక్రియను వెంటనే ప్రారంభించాలని కోరగా, రైల్వే మంత్రి సానుకూలంగా స్పందించి అవసరమైన చర్యలు తీసుకుంటామని హామీ ఇచ్చారు.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy urged Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to execute the Krishna–Vikarabad railway line entirely with central funding. He assured that the State Government would bear the full cost of land acquisition for the project.
The issues were discussed in detail during a meeting held at the Railway Minister’s chamber in Parliament, New Delhi. The Chief Minister informed that limestone deposits have been identified in the Tekalkode region along the proposed route, which could support the development of cement and textile industries.
He noted that the Krishna region is strategically located near his Kodangal constituency as well as several cement industries in Karnataka. Kodangal, Tekalkode and Doulatabad are being developed as industrial zones, he said.
The Chief Minister also proposed allocation of 500 acres of land near Shamshabad International Airport for the Hyderabad–Chennai (778 km), Hyderabad–Bengaluru (586 km) and Hyderabad–Pune (556 km) high-speed rail corridors.
He suggested that the high-speed rail routes should originate from Shamshabad. He further proposed that the Hyderabad–Chennai corridor pass through Amaravati and that a rail link be sanctioned from there to Bandar Port.
This, he said, would speed up cargo movement from the dry port to Bandar Port. If the Hyderabad–Bengaluru and Hyderabad–Pune corridors also originate from Shamshabad, it would emerge as a key tri-junction hub.
Responding positively to the request for immediate land acquisition, the Railway Minister assured that necessary steps would be taken to initiate the projects.
