Tension escalated in Kamareddy after political challenges between Congress and BJP leaders, with a car vandalised and set on fire amid protests.
కామారెడ్డి పట్టణంలో కాంగ్రెస్, బీజేపీ నేతల మధ్య సవాళ్లు, ఆరోపణలతో ఉద్రిక్తత నెలకొంది. ప్రభుత్వ డిగ్రీ కాలేజ్, అరోరా భూముల అంశంపై కాంగ్రెస్ చేసిన ఆరోపణలకు బీజేపీ ఎమ్మెల్యే వెంకటరమణారెడ్డి స్పందిస్తూ సరస్వతీ శిశుమందిర్ వద్ద చర్చకు రావాలని కాంగ్రెస్ నేతలకు సవాల్ విసిరారు. ఉదయం 10 గంటలకు చర్చకు సిద్ధమని కాంగ్రెస్ వర్గాలు కూడా ప్రకటించాయి.
ఈ పరిణామాల నేపథ్యంలో ఎమ్మెల్యే క్యాంప్ కార్యాలయం ముట్టడికి కాంగ్రెస్ కార్యకర్తలు ప్రయత్నించగా పోలీసులు అడ్డుకున్నారు. అదే సమయంలో బీజేపీ కార్యకర్తలు కూడా రోడ్లపైకి రావడంతో పరిస్థితి మరింత ఉద్రిక్తమైంది. ఆందోళన సమయంలో ఒక కారును ధ్వంసం చేసి నిప్పుపెట్టడంతో ఉద్రిక్తత పెరిగింది. పోలీసులు వెంటనే జోక్యం చేసుకుని ఇరు వర్గాలను చెదరగొట్టి పలువురిని అదుపులోకి తీసుకుని స్టేషన్కు తరలించారు.
ఉద్రిక్త పరిస్థితుల దృష్ట్యా ఎమ్మెల్యే వెంకటరమణారెడ్డిని పోలీసులు గృహనిర్భందం చేశారు. క్యాంప్ కార్యాలయం చుట్టూ భారీగా పోలీసులను మోహరించి, పట్టణంలో 144 సెక్షన్ తరహా ఆంక్షలు అమలు చేస్తున్నారు. ఎక్కడికక్కడ పికెటింగ్ ఏర్పాటు చేసి పరిస్థితిని సమీక్షిస్తున్నారు.
తాజా ఉద్రిక్తత నేపథ్యంలో ఎవరూ సరస్వతీ శిశుమందిర్ వద్దకు రావద్దని ఎమ్మెల్యే కార్యకర్తలకు విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. ఇది పార్టీ సమస్య కాదని, తనపై వచ్చిన ఆరోపణల విషయమని, కార్యకర్తలు జోక్యం చేసుకోవద్దని ఆయన అన్నారు.
Tension gripped Kamareddy as allegations over government degree college and Aurora lands triggered a political face-off between BJP MLA Venkatramana Reddy and Congress leader Shabbir Ali. The MLA challenged Congress leaders for an open discussion at Saraswathi Shishu Mandir, and Congress leaders said they were ready.
As Congress workers attempted to march towards the MLA’s camp office, police intervened and detained several protesters. BJP supporters also gathered on the roads, and during the unrest a car was vandalised and set on fire, escalating the situation. Police dispersed both groups and increased security across the town.
Authorities placed the MLA under house arrest and deployed heavy police bandobast around his camp office. Restrictions similar to Section 144 were imposed, with pickets set up at key locations. The MLA appealed to party workers not to gather near the venue, stating the issue concerned allegations against him personally and urging them to maintain calm.
