Following political challenges between Congress and BJP leaders, tension gripped Kamareddy as MLA Venkatramana Reddy was placed under house arrest by police.
కామారెడ్డిలో రాజకీయ ఉద్రిక్తతలు తారాస్థాయికి చేరుకున్నాయి. ప్రభుత్వ డిగ్రీ కాలేజ్, అరోరా భూముల అంశంపై కాంగ్రెస్ ఆరోపణలకు ఎమ్మెల్యే వెంకటరమణారెడ్డి స్పందిస్తూ సరస్వతీ శిశుమందిర్ సమీపంలో బహిరంగ చర్చకు రావాలని కాంగ్రెస్ నేతలకు సవాల్ విసిరారు. ఉదయం 10 గంటలకు చర్చకు హాజరుకావాలని పిలుపునిచ్చారు.
ఎమ్మెల్యే సవాల్కు కాంగ్రెస్ వర్గాలు సై అన్నారు. చర్చకు సిద్ధమని ప్రకటించారు. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో ఎమ్మెల్యే క్యాంప్ కార్యాలయం ముట్టడికి కాంగ్రెస్ కార్యకర్తలు ప్రయత్నించగా, పోలీసులు వారిని అదుపులోకి తీసుకున్నారు. పరిస్థితి మరింత ఉద్రిక్తంగా మారింది.
ఈ క్రమంలో బీజేపీ శ్రేణులు కూడా రోడ్లపైకి వచ్చాయి. ఆందోళనల మధ్య ఒక కారుకు చెందిన అద్దాలను ధ్వంసం చేసి, తరువాత దానిపై నిప్పు పెట్టిన ఘటన చోటుచేసుకుంది. దీంతో ఉద్రిక్తత మరింత పెరిగింది. పోలీసులు ఇరు వర్గాలను చెదరగొట్టి, పలువురు కాంగ్రెస్ మరియు బీజేపీ నేతలను అదుపులోకి తీసుకుని పోలీస్ స్టేషన్కు తరలించారు.
పరిస్థితులు అదుపులో ఉండేందుకు ఎమ్మెల్యే వెంకటరమణారెడ్డిని పోలీసులు గృహనిర్భందం చేశారు. ఆయన క్యాంప్ కార్యాలయం చుట్టూ భారీ బందోబస్తు ఏర్పాటు చేశారు. ప్రస్తుతం కామారెడ్డిలో 144 సెక్షన్ తరహాలో ఆంక్షలు అమల్లో ఉన్నాయి. ఎక్కడికక్కడ పోలీస్ పికెటింగ్ ఏర్పాటు చేసి పరిస్థితిని సమీక్షిస్తున్నారు.
ఉద్రిక్త పరిస్థితుల నేపథ్యంలో ఎవరూ సరస్వతీ శిశుమందిర్ వద్దకు రావొద్దని ఎమ్మెల్యే వెంకటరమణారెడ్డి బీజేపీ కార్యకర్తలకు సూచించారు. ఇది పార్టీ సమస్య కాదని, తన కుటుంబంపై వచ్చిన ఆరోపణలకు తానే సమాధానం చెప్పాల్సి ఉందని పేర్కొన్నారు. కార్యకర్తలు ఎవరూ జోక్యం చేసుకోవద్దని, పోలీసులకు ఇచ్చిన మాటకు విలువ ఇవ్వాలని ఆయన కోరారు.
Kamareddy High Tension – MLA Venkatramana Reddy Under House Arrest
Political tension escalated in Kamareddy following allegations by Congress leaders regarding government degree college and Arora lands. Responding to the allegations, MLA Venkatramana Reddy challenged Congress leaders to attend an open discussion near Saraswati Shishu Mandir at 10 AM.
Congress leaders accepted the challenge and expressed readiness for discussion. As tensions mounted, Congress workers attempted to lay siege to the MLA’s camp office, but police intervened and detained several activists.
BJP cadres also gathered on the roads amid the developments. During the unrest, a car’s windows were smashed and later set on fire, further intensifying the situation. Police dispersed both groups and shifted several Congress and BJP leaders to the police station.
To prevent further escalation, police placed MLA Venkatramana Reddy under house arrest and deployed heavy security around his camp office. Restrictions similar to Section 144 have been imposed in Kamareddy, with police picketing arranged across sensitive areas.
Amid the tense atmosphere, the MLA urged BJP workers not to gather at Saraswati Shishu Mandir, stating that the issue pertains to allegations against his family and not a party matter. He appealed to cadres to respect his assurance to the police and refrain from involvement.
