As part of Operation “Vajraprahar”, police and Eagle Team personnel jointly conducted a cordon and search operation in Eluru city. Extensive inspections were carried out in YSR Colony and surrounding areas including Ponangi. Officials surrounded the locality early on Thursday morning and conducted thorough checks of houses and suspicious locations.
Around 50 personnel from the police department and the Eagle Team participated in the operation. During the inspections, police seized 14 motorcycles that did not have proper documents. Authorities also increased surveillance on suspects involved in illegal activities such as ganja storage, trafficking and other unlawful practices.
After completing the inspections, officials interacted with local residents and issued important advisories. They warned that the use of narcotic substances like ganja could severely harm the future of youth and urged people to stay away from such activities. Residents were also asked to inform the police immediately if they notice suspicious persons or illegal activities in their areas.
