తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రంలో ఆహార కల్తీని అరికట్టేందుకు ప్రత్యేక వ్యవస్థను ఏర్పాటు చేస్తామని ముఖ్యమంత్రి ఎ. రేవంత్ రెడ్డి తెలిపారు. శాసనసభ సెంట్రల్ హాలులో జరిగిన కార్యక్రమంలో ఆయన ఈ విషయాన్ని వెల్లడించారు. రాష్ట్రంలో ప్రస్తుతం అమల్లో ఉన్న ఈగల్, హైడ్రా తరహాలోనే ఆహార భద్రత కోసం కొత్త వ్యవస్థను తీసుకురానున్నట్లు చెప్పారు.
దేశవ్యాప్తంగా అమలవుతున్న కల్తీ నిరోధక చట్టాలను అధ్యయనం చేసి పటిష్టమైన చర్యలు తీసుకుంటామని ముఖ్యమంత్రి స్పష్టం చేశారు. ప్రజలకు నాణ్యమైన ఆహారం అందించడమే ప్రభుత్వ ప్రధాన లక్ష్యమని తెలిపారు.
ఇదే కార్యక్రమంలో సన్నబియ్యం పథకం ప్రారంభమై ఏడాది పూర్తయిన సందర్భంగా పౌర సరఫరాల శాఖ ఆధ్వర్యంలో ప్రజాప్రతినిధులకు సన్నబియ్యంతో భోజనం ఏర్పాటు చేశారు. ముఖ్యమంత్రి తో పాటు మండలి చైర్మన్ గుత్తా సుఖేందర్ రెడ్డి, స్పీకర్ గడ్డం ప్రసాద్ కుమార్, ఉప ముఖ్యమంత్రి మల్లు భట్టి విక్రమార్క, మంత్రి ఉత్తమ్ కుమార్ రెడ్డి తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా సీఎం మాట్లాడుతూ రేషన్ షాపుల ద్వారా పంపిణీ చేసిన దొడ్డు బియ్యం వినియోగం తగ్గిపోవడంతో దాన్ని సన్నబియ్యంగా మార్చే అక్రమాలు పెరిగాయని చెప్పారు. దీనివల్ల ప్రభుత్వానికి నష్టం జరుగుతుందని పేర్కొన్నారు.
పేదలు తినగలిగే విధంగా సన్నబియ్యం అందించాలనే ఉద్దేశంతో ఈ పథకాన్ని ప్రారంభించామని తెలిపారు. రైతులను ప్రోత్సహించేందుకు క్వింటాలుకు రూ.500 బోనస్ ప్రకటించినట్లు వెల్లడించారు.
రాష్ట్రంలో విద్యార్థులకు నాణ్యమైన విద్య, పోషకాహారం అందించడమే లక్ష్యంగా ప్రభుత్వం పని చేస్తోందని సీఎం అన్నారు. రైతుల్లో పంట మార్పిడి విధానాలపై అవగాహన కల్పించి వాణిజ్య పంటల వైపు దారితీసే చర్యలు చేపడతామని తెలిపారు.

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced that the state government will introduce a special system to curb food adulteration. Speaking at an event held in the Central Hall of the Assembly, he said a dedicated mechanism similar to Eagle and Hydra systems will be established to ensure food safety across Telangana.
The Chief Minister stated that the government will study existing anti-adulteration laws implemented across the country and adopt strong measures to prevent food contamination. Ensuring safe and quality food for the public remains a key priority, he added.
The event also marked the completion of one year of the fine rice distribution scheme. A special lunch prepared with fine rice was arranged for public representatives by the Civil Supplies Department. Several dignitaries, including Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy, Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, and Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy attended the program.
During his interaction with the media, the CM noted that coarse rice supplied through ration shops was not being consumed widely, leading to illegal conversions into fine rice. This resulted in financial losses to the government.
To address this, the government launched the fine rice scheme to ensure better food quality for the poor. Farmers were encouraged with a ₹500 bonus per quintal to cultivate fine paddy.
The Chief Minister further stated that the government is committed to providing quality education and nutrition to students. Awareness will be created among farmers on crop diversification, and they will be encouraged to shift towards commercial crops
